About Cheila

My perspective has been shaped by more than two decades of experience across technology, education, complex organizational environments, human inquiry, facilitation, and learning. I began in Management Information Systems Engineering, working across different industries and business contexts before my path expanded into Work Psychology, interdisciplinary human inquiry, education, and human systems.

I do not see these as separate careers. Each environment gave me another perspective from which to understand how people and systems function: what they reward, what they overlook, how they organize knowledge, how they respond to change, and what allows people to move beyond reproducing what already exists toward understanding, questioning, integrating, and creating something new.

Since 2014, this has also developed into a deliberate interdisciplinary inquiry into human experience and self-knowledge, progressively extending into relationships, learning, collective dynamics, and organizations.

Today, these perspectives come together in my work across Organizational Clarity, Learning & Capability Development, Knowledge Integration, and Human–AI Integration, and in the development of Applied Human Systems Engineering.

At the core of this work is something I have encountered repeatedly across very different environments: experience teaches us more than we always recognize at the time. When we recover that context and begin to connect what once appeared fragmented, we can understand both ourselves and the situations we are part of more clearly.

My teaching style is structured, interactive, and responsive to the people in the room. Clear frameworks are combined with questions, dialogue, reflection, practical exercises, and real situations, with the depth, pace, and language adapting as the group evolves.

Close attention is given to what participants understand, what remains unclear, and what emerges during the process. Questions are not interruptions to the program; they often become the point where the most relevant learning begins.

Information delivered is not treated as learning completed. Learning becomes visible when participants connect a concept to their own reality, test it, question it, and begin to use it independently.

A week with me has direction without being rigid: structured enough to create coherence, open enough for discovery, and grounded enough for learning to become usable.

Recent work

Currently developing and testing an Applied Human Systems Engineering approach to Human–AI integration, examining how people use AI without outsourcing the human capacities required for judgment, learning, autonomy and integration. Alongside this research, I continue applying human-systems thinking through organizational work, learning design and international facilitation.
